Website content for radio stations

Your website, written for you. Every week.

Radio Content Lab writes posts for your station, then publishes them straight to your own website. You install one free plugin. Your news director does not have to write a word.

The problem

Your news director is on air. Your website is not.

The site goes stale, listeners stop checking it, and your sales team has nothing to sell against it.

Nobody has forty minutes

A post takes most people forty minutes. Three a week is two hours your station does not have.

Sales notices first

A rep opens the site in front of a client and turns the laptop away. It happens more than anyone says.

We write it instead

You keep the station. We keep the website current, every week, on a rhythm that survives a bad one.

How it works

Three steps, and two of them are ours.

Step 01

You install one plugin

The copy you download already knows how to find us. Nothing to type in, no key to paste. We approve your site, usually within a business day.

Step 02

We write, a person checks

Posts land under your station’s name. Publish them as they arrive, or hold them for someone at the station to approve.

Step 03

You send us local things

A tip, a death notice, a photo from the fair. Two sentences from your news director come back as a finished post, the same day.

Got a question first?

Tell us about your station. A person answers, usually within a business day.

What we write

One kind of thing. Every kind of story.

A post is whatever your town needs it to be that week, and they all come out of the same number in your plan.

News that happened here

Council decisions, road closures, school board votes, the new business on Main Street. Local names, local places, spelled the way local people spell them.

We write from what you send us and from sources we can read. If a detail is missing, it stays out of the story.

1

number in your plan

Spend it on any mix. Heavy on sports in the fall, heavy on events in the summer. Nobody counts obituaries against a different allowance.

All of it counts as a post

NewsObituariesHigh school sportsEventsContestsFundraisersRoad closuresCouncilBusiness spotlightsWeather days

Obituaries, done with care

Written from the notices you send, in a consistent format, with the service time where a reader expects to find it.

Pictures that fit

Every post arrives with a picture cropped to suit your layout. Send your own photographs and we use those instead.

In your station’s voice

A country station in a farming county does not read like a rock station in a college town. Tell us how you sound on air.

Posts go into WordPress’s own Posts

We cannot post into most third-party or custom plugins, such as a listings directory or a section built specially for your site. Ask us about a custom solution.

You stay in charge

Hold everything for review, or let it publish. Your call.

Your review queue

Held posts wait in your normal Pending list, where a person at the station reads them and clicks publish.

A human edits every piece

Drafting is fast because it has to be. Approving is not, and that is the part you are paying for.

It stays yours

Everything published to your site belongs to your station. Cancel and it stays where it is.

From the Lab

Why a station website earns its keep

Ready when you are

Start with one plugin.

Choose a plan, install the plugin, and posts start arriving once we approve your site. If it is wrong for your station, cancel from your account and keep everything already published.
